En horas de la tarde de este miércoles, un sujeto dejó un bolso en las inmediaciones de la Casa Blanca. Rápidamente el Servicio Secreto detuvo al sospecho luego de que intentara escapar.
En su cuenta en Twitter, el organismo de seguridad retiró el objeto tras acordonar la avenida Pennsylvania.
En algunas imágenes difundidas por VOA, se observaban a varios funcionarios con armas largas protegiendo el perímetro.
At approximately 2:45 pm an individual dropped a backpack and attempted to jump a bike rack along the sidewalk on Pennsylvania Ave. The individual was immediately taken into custody by Secret Service Uniformed Division Officers.

Law enforcement officials are responding to the incident on the sidewalk of Pennsylvania Ave. Pedestrian traffic is closed along Pennsylvania Ave. between 15th and 17th streets to include Lafayette Park.
