Iván Simonovis, excomisionado de seguridad e inteligencia del equipo de Juan Guaidó, denunció que un terrorista vinculado al los atentados 11 de septiembre posee cédula venezolana. Además de realizar la denuncia, el ex preso político compartió una fotografía del documento del supuesto terrorista.
A través de su cuenta de Twitter, Simonovis hizo un llamado a la justicia internacional a investigar el caso. "Este terrorista participó en los eventos del 11S y fue capturado planificando otro atentado en Jordania. Usaba documentos venezolanos y lo asistió un bufete pagado por el régimen", afirmó.
Posteriormente compartió la fotografía del documento venezolano que refleja el nombre de Hakim Mohamed Ali Diab Fattah. Adicionalmente, Simonovis advirtió que de no realizarse las correctas investigaciones por parte de la policía internacional "la dictadura de Nicolás Maduro puede ser cómplice de otro 11S".

En el año de 2016 varios medios hicieron eco de la supuesta relación de Hakim Mohamed Ali Diab Fattah en los hechos del 11sep. Entonces, se hizo referencia al sujeto como posible terrorista, vinculado con algunos de los autores de los terribles atentados contra las Torres Gemelas y el Pentágono.

Asimismo, una comunicación de la oficina del Agregado Jurídico a la Embajada de los Estados Unidos en Venezuela reveló su relación con uno de los terroristas del 11sep. En el documento se indica que Diab amenazó con estrellar un avión de una aerolínea israelí mientras realizaba cursos de aviación en Estados Unidos. Asimismo, se afirmó que el sujeto compartió adiestramiento aéreo con Hani Hanjour, terrorista identificado como responsable de ese ataque al Pentágono.
El supuesto terrorista sería deportado a Venezuela el 8 de marzo de ese año, según indicó el comunicado emitido en 2002. Sobre esto, el exdirector de la Dirección de Identificación y Extranjería de Venezuela (DIEX), Marcos Ferreira, reveló a Diario Las Américas su conocimiento del caso.
"La información que teníamos era que arrestaron a este hombre porque solicitó una extensión de su visa de turista pero luego del lapso legal. Además que le encontraron varios pasaportes venezolanos vencidos con los nombres ligeramente cambiados", apuntó.
